The rainy season here has brought the whole province to life, rivers are once again full, the forests are green and thick, butterflies and other insects are out in force. One thing that is often overlooked though is the fungi. The rain has provided lots of nice shady damp places for a multitude of fungi to pop their brightly coloured heads up from their damp hiding places. Here are a few fungi from our adventures at couple of conservation areas and parks that we visited last weekend.
There were some cool cup fungi……
Some peculiar slime molds…….
These psychedelic bracket fungi…….
and plenty more strange and beautiful fungi on the forest floor.
I would never overlook fungi 😉, they make for some interesting photography. Love the bright yellow worm-looking ones on the tree stump… Very cool!
